Ok let me see if i can explain this...

I have a server that initially was a member server. It had 2 nics one for LAN one for Internet. ICS was enabled to allow workstations access to the internet.

All was well in the Land of Members Servers until the pretty little member server was upgraded to a Domain Controller. Then the evil witch haunted the land..

No in seriousness when i upgraded to a Domain Controller i constructed some OU's which was fine. Then I decided to apply group policies to the OU's. When i right clicked the OU and then properties ==> Group Policy, i got the error that the Domain Controller was not found for Sample.com. I posted in the 2000 Server forums about this and got a good response and one person in particular tried to help extensively, and he still is, but it seemed the answers to the issues i was having was creating more turmoil. In turn i Demoted the DC. Disabled ICS. Promoted it to a DC again... configured DHCP and DNS manually. THis worked well i was able to modify group policies and access the internet... but the internet connection was yet to be shared.

So wbg34 (whom has helped me quite a bit thus far) submitted this to me yesterday...

to which i followed to a "t". I have a t1 so the demand dial portion was not applicable.

Now again when i go to apply group policies to an OU me server cant find my domain...

Any Ideas? and wbg34 i know you will read this so post anything you think may be helpful :)

Any help appreciated...

Bill
