I have RPC/HTTP(S) configured on an Exchange 2003 Server (Windows 2003 Server SP1) in a W2K Domain environment. I am having a heck of a time getting this to work. The only way I have been able to get it to work is by opening Ports 135 and 1102 on the firewall.
The exchange server is the only one in the organization, and since the DC holds the GC, I made the necessary changes on it in the NTDS Reg entry. Is that right?
I tested using the web browser method suggested /rpc and /rpc/rpcproxy.dll and everything returns the expected result, but the clients will just not work with only using port 80 and 443.
My firewall logs show it denying 135 and 1102 when I have those ports closed.
Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated! I have come to the end of my rope on this!
