RPC over HTTP without SSL

I need to setup RPC over HTTP WITHOUT SSL. I understand that SSL is recommended, but the reasons to not use it are too complicated to explain now. Anyway, according to MS article 833401 you can do it, but there is a registry hack to do so. Anybody know what that is?

I've searched but can't find an article on it. Thanks!!!!
