RPC not registered error

Hi
i am having problem mounting the partition to my server.I am using solaris7 intel base and sparc solaris7 for mounting. It keeps giving me the error rpc not registered.
please someone help thanks

seems that rpc.mountd is not running on the server, you probably just exported the first filesystem from a machine that has never done NFS serving before, try start the NFS server with the following:

# /etc/init.d/nfs.server start

thanks for replying, but i'm still having the same problem.
after checking nfs server is running i got the following result.
inter solaris7 which seems to be fine running following process for nfs
/etc/init.d/nfs.server
/usr/lib/nfs/lockd
/usr/lib/nfs/mountd
/usr/lib/nfs/nfsd -a 16

however, sparc solaris7 is running only two of the process,
/usr/lib/nfs/statd
/usr/lib/nfs/lockd
Is this a problem? I also check the files mountd and nfd they exist.
