Hi, I have SBC DSL.. and the Netopia 3346N router. Right now, I have the Pix doing PPPoE through the router, which is in bridged mode.
I want to have the router perform the PPPoE connection. So, this means I either have to do DHCP with the Pix or a static address. I've tried both ways, but I can't seem to ping the router from my network.
Surely, this will probably be a pretty basic thing that I'm overlooking. But, in summary, I just want the dsl router to do the PPPoE authentication and route traffic to my firewall... and of course, I want to allow access to the internet for the network behind my firewall.
FYI, I have the router setup as 192.168.1.253 and my firewall is 192.168.1.254.... on the wan side, it should be x.x.x.22. The router and firewall can share that public IP address, yes?
Thanks for the help
