I have a remote site which is connected via VPN, from the remote site firewall to the main site firewall.

This remote site then needs access to our accounts server which is located past 2 routers from the main site (router at main site 3620 then has a leased line connection to another router where the accounts server is).

From the remote site when I try to get to the accounts server it just times out, when I do trace route the trace stops at our main site Cisco 3620 router.

Could this be a setting on the router that is not allowing the traffic from the new remote site to be routed to the accounts server?

If yes what would need to be added to the router to allow this traffic through?

Do you have a return route from the router where your account server is to your main 3620 router?

Yes I already have access from my main site to my accounts server, so there is a route back.

But does the accounts server, or the router serving as its default gateway, have the necessary route to the remote network?

No there was no route back from the router at the Accounts server end.

I have just added one and it works.

Thanks
