I escalated it to my Vendor and they confirmed my original thought So now I post the question to the rest of "us"

Inside the switch...Is there anything else that would route a DNIS other than the IDC table? Is there something I might be overlooking? ( I Don't think so )

Input is greatly appreciated so I can put this to BED. Thanks in advance.

If there is no DCNO, then it is treated as a DN which could be pointed to an an ACD that can shoot it anywhere. It doesn't really do a translation, but can feel that way.

Also, in your CDB, don't forget your invalid DN treatments.

What kind of problem are you experiencing?

Been kicking my butt quite frankly and I just had a resolve after four days and a ruined three day weekend thinking about this.

The thought is if you call the 8xx number the assigned agent should get the call all the time unless busy/not ready. but if concerto fails/ or I need to switch to the backup trunks. where is it in the switch that routes determining on the PE. As I can see there is NOTHING, NOTHING that directs those calls depending on the PE. only on what route it comes in on and what DCNO is assigned to that route. Couple people been trying to help me on this and all of the input given has given me the full picture ya know the ones that if you stare at it long enough you see the ship.(Well I think I see the ship)

Just for argument I had someone insisting its the switch that makes that determination. and with a little more ammo other than what I have I can sooo lay this to rest. Thanks again to all who have given me the input.

Ok here it is..
UGH!

8xx = 8796
8796 = DNIS
6901 = DID
7901 = Concerto

DCNO (1)
IDGT CDGT
6901 8796

DCNO (3)
IDGT CDGT
8796 7901

DCNO (21)
IDGT CDGT
6901 7901

I am not familiar with Concerto. Is 7901 an ACD? If so, print the ACD 7901.

It doesnt come in as a CDN. Comes up as nothing and only appears in the IDC table, From what I understand 7901 is the DNIS for concerto to see, Oh..concerto doesnt work..Never has..(piece of junk) but they want it in there Just in case we ever do get it going they want to maintain the integrity of the programming on the switch in the IDC tables.

I ended up having to change the IDC table but doing this accomplished what the task was getting that 8xx number to hit the agent everytime under any call condition, Somehow I know they are going to insist the translation is somewhere else. Your thought?
DCNO (1)
IDGT CDGT
6901 8796

DCNO (3)
IDGT CDGT
8796 8796

DCNO (21)
IDGT CDGT
6901 8796

if it is in an idc table, it works when the applied route, sees matching digits, that's all idc is good for,not internal, internal routing has to handle the cdgt output side, that can be anything from a tsc to an acd to a analog station

Auto Terminate trunk routes.. route calls coming in on that route to a specific dn/dns. If the rdb...LD 21 Prt ....rdb is set as auto..print trunks in that route to see ATDN

right rdb auto=yes, then in the trunk you'll see a atdn prompt, you can't bypass it and you will not get an idc option in the route

you also will not see the auto prompt in the rdb if the trunk type is auto
