I am attempting to route any calls with a 936 prefix from one Nortel PBX (site A) to another Nortel PBX (site B)utilizing our tie trunks, then send the call out on local trunks from site B passing all 7 digits to the CO.
I have attempted this and failed. The calls end up going to an internal 936X four digit number at site B.
I have looked over some of the past questions on Tek-Tips, but am missing the boat.
Can someone please spell out the procedure for me?
I appreciate any insight.

on the rlb (just for the 936) build a dgt that inserts 9..

Thank You JohnPoole!
May I pry and clarify a couple of items?
At site "A", should the 936 prefix be built as an NXX or something else?
Are you saying to put the entry in the RLB for site A or B or both?
We use an "8" for outside access. So I should insert an "8"
Where you indicated a "9"
Thanks again

Site A

NXX 936

RLB ? What ever RLB you using now may work if nothing else is pointed to that RLB, but change the RT to the route that is your TIE

DGT ? You may need to build a new DGT/DMI table that inserts an 8

Hello AceWarlock...neat screen name.
Thanks for your assistance.
It still isn't working. ?
I have inserted the DGT on site A, built RLB pointing to tie trunks and the DMI.
Played around with Site B, inserting a deleting the leading 8, just get a fast busy.
I'll keep trying, but must be leaving out an important step.

Print the SPN, RLB and DMI for Site A so I can see what your doing.

Also for Site B.

AceWarlock,
Here is what I have. I have played around with site b and this is I what at this time. I have attempted this inserting, then deleting the 8. SITE A

Site A wants to call NXX 936-xxxx

Dial 8-936-xxxx

Call will use route 5 to SITE B and insert a 8.

Site B Call goes to Route 38 (what is route 38 for)
Don't insert an 8 as it's been done by site A.

Call should go out local route without any digits beening added

routing a call from site a to site b, then out a local route.. are you using 8 as ac1 or 2? can you dial from site b, 8 plus the 7 digit number?

then at site a your dgt is correct, assuming the route is correct.. you will not need to change 90 or 86 at site b.. what you do need is to look at the ncos of the TIE TRUNK that is now trying to make that call.. the tie (b to a) on the a end.. what is the ncos of that trunk? if you change your ncos to the same ncos can you make the call.. either change the ncos of those trunks or lower the frl of the rlb that the 7 digit number is pointed to..

here's a normal block,, dial 8 444 1234 from site a, use the dgt to insert the 8 (that i lost because the 8 is an ac or acod) so now i am sending 8 444 1234 to site b.. trac that trunk if your not sure.. BUT site b looks at the ncos of the inbound trunk to allow or deny that call.. if you have pri ties, they can look at the station on the far end.. t1 or analog only sees the ncos of it's trunks

Thanks John Poole and Acewarlock.
You people are a big help.
Turns out the test number I was calling was somehow blocked at the CO ?
The original answer of re-inserting the 8 was the ticket.
Thanks again. I am going to try and figure out how to give you some good ratings.
