Can someone please tell me how to connect a router to allready exciting windows 2000 network. My router's ip is 192.168.0.2.
DHCP and DNS are all on the windows 2000 server. I cannot gain access to the internet without manually seting the dns server to 192.168.0.2 and default gateway to same ip.

I appreciate anyones help!!!

I think therefore i am.....

set a new server option in your dhcp scope for your router address of 192.168.0.2. and set the DNS option set to your server address.
Make sure your DNS server forwardars are set to the dns servers of your isp.

when you release and renew your client ip's, you should get the DNS server address of your 2000 server and the gateway of your router address.

if the forwarders are already set, don't change them.
