What type of router can support a DS3.

First question is what do you want to do with the DS3?

If you're just doing a basic non-channelized DS3 with only a default route to the ISP you could get by with a 36xx or 37xx, but if you're channelizing, or doing routing protocols (BGP) and alot of filtering you need to step up to a 72xx series at the minimum..

I think I am only going to use a fractional DS3. I need approx 15mb. It is going to be channelized. I am going to
have various PVC going to a number of different locations.
