A router that runs on 48 volts of DC power.. normally a telco installation. If you have one of these, you can either power it with an external PS or swap the existing power supply for a *normal* AC supply.
Also, a tip is to look for a 2600 which was config'ed for the redundent power supply. The normal supply is replaced by a small cable leading to an external chassis. Why look for this? because of buying it CHEAP. I bought a 2620 for 500.00 and then spent another 30ish on a power supply. Total cost was under 600 which is half of the going price for a 2620. Hard to argue with that
Wybnormal, I have a 1900EN DC switch. Could I just swap out the DC power supply for a AC. I was going to buy external power supply from Newark. Cost about 135.00 dollars. Thanks for the input.
