Router prompt not coming up?

Hello

I have rebooted my router and now after the router comes up it simply stops at the follwoing line

Hit the enter key a few times... depending on how it's configured, it should prompt you for a login.

As your line protocol is never coming UP (you see, line protocol state goes down) e believe you could have a more seriously problem than the one suggested. You may have, for instance, a corrupted IOS. At first, I would try to reboot in "boot" mode, changing the config-register to 0x2101 at startup. If you are note familiar with this procedure take a look at this link:

You are not going to perform a password recovery. You should replace the 0x2142 by 0x2101.
If everything works fine you should receive a router(boot)> prompt. Enter in privileged mode (enable) and do a "sh flash".
You may post the sh flash output for us, and wait for additional help or, if the IOS is really bad, you may try to copy a new file to flash.
