I want to rotate a text box in Word like I do in PageMaker. The problem is that when I select the text box, then Rotate is grayed out. Is there something I am missing?

First off, I don't think you can rotate a text box; however, if you are trying to get text that runs in a different direction, there is a way that you can do this. Select the text then format/text direction and choose the way you want the text to run. You may need to resize the box to more appropriate dimensions once the text is in the correct direction since the box itself will remain the way it was in the beginning.

If you want to rotate text, you can do it by using WordArt. Otherwise, try Doroth's suggestion, as you cannot rotate a text box.
