root relative links dont work b/c of "/"??????????????

I have read in the dreamweaver help that a forward slash is put in before root relative links, and interprested by the server. For this reason you can oly preview one page at a time. But when I upload my site to a server, none of the root relative links work - not pictures or internal links - all because of the forward slash. But dreamweaver insists on inserting it, and removing them all by html is silly (and dreamweaver often replaces it!!!!) HELP !!!!!!!!!!!

Ok it is not as hard as you think. Had this problem several times.<br>All you have to do is define a site. Select define new Site an choose the root directory of your Web server. You should see all pics if the folder structure of you WS&nbsp;&nbsp;is the same as on your development device...<br>simon&nbsp;&nbsp;
