Root login

I have an Aspect Release 6 Call Centre. I need to shutdown the Aspect system but I don't have a login to the Unix system console.

I believe the root system password maybe generic, so I was wondering if anyone would have some passwords or logins that could be used.

We know longer have support from Aspect so it would cost us Time & Materials to get them to shut down the system.

Also, does anyone know if Aspect are obliged to give you the root password once they know longer support your system and you own the system.

I don't believe the root logins are generic. As far as whether Aspect is obligated or not is hard to say, but I'd imagine they would provide it now that it is no longer a supported product by them.

do you have a login that gets to you a shell? if so then you should be able to use John The Ripper and crack the root easy enought
