I am building web pages through Adobe Photoshop, and curretley I am having a diffucult time decreasing my file/page size when I create multiple layer based rollovers for any given page.

My question is, "How do I decrease my file/page size, while keeping my rollovers"?

Thank you in advance for your time in reviewing my query, as I look forward to hearing any responses.

Best.

Rollovers simply put is just a script using Javascript or CSS if you are clever enough.

If you want to just make the rollovers in AI and then use the code it creates then feel free to do so. However the key is in the optimization of the image when you save it. You can create your rollover using AI and then adjust the image after if need be. I find using "save for web" works very well. It all depends on the type of image you are using. If the image is a photographic image then save as a .jpg so that you can get lots of colors but use the quality slider to adjust the quality and filesize to the desired effect. If your image is more plain with only a few different colors (simplistic) then save as a .gif and again adjust the quality (gif quality means the number of colors saved).

Anymore questions, please feel free to ask.

Hope this helps!
