ROD over Total Rocording

Hi!

I have a Nice 8.9 Total Recording system with 72 recording channels integrated AVAYACT 1.3 and a self-developed front-end.

My problem is: This logger was purchased TR for safety reasons (case the AvayaCT runs off) and it was integrated to do ROD with screen navigation (front-end) during a phone call.
Is there anyway to store only the ROD calls on the tape, regardless the TR state?

I already configured the Resource Manager with all the 72 recording channels reserved to ROD, but i still have TR calls being transfered to the backup tapes.

Please, if anyone knows a way out of this endless corridor, help me!

There are no doors in the nice corridor....

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Is it an option to reconfigure as a selective recorder or do you still require total recording?

One option although probably more expensive than you are willing to go to is to purchase a storage center solution and then you can pull only ROD calls to another location and archive them from there.

Another option if total recording is not required although very ugly is to give users the right to enable/disable channels from recording with the monitor application. This is very ugly though but cheap.
