Roaming Profiles

I am in the process of locking down workstations(w2k,XP pro )within the w2k domain. I would like to use roaming profiles but the instructions from the microsoft site and help system are less than helpfull. Could anybody point me in the right direction? I would like to customise desktops,lock parts of the OS, specify apps e.t.c.

Any help would be great.
