Roaming profile issue

I have a user with a 2000 professional laptop and an XP pro desktop. The roaming profile is on a 2000 server. When they use their desktop, they have no issues with the profile, it is saved etc, however when they log onto the laptop, they get an error message stating that the profile cannot be accessed.

I've ensured that the profile is set to roaming on both machines, that the permissions are correct and that the NTUSER.DAT file is fine.

Any one got any ideas?

Do you have another laptop that you can try as a test then logon as the same user and see if you get the same error.
