Roaming profile changes not saved

We have an NT4 domain controller with W2K clients, and have used roaming profiles for some time now.

However, recently we are having problems where changes such as deleting desktop shortcuts etc are not saved when the machine is logged off.
When the user logs back onto the machine, the deleted files re-appear.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Not sure if you've checked this or not, but make sure the ntuser file inside of the profile has the .dat extension rather than a .man extension.

A changing the NTuser file from one to the other toggles the profile from being a mandatory profile to just a regular profile.
