RMAN & Backup Software

We are currently using Computer Associates with an Oracle agent to perform our nightly backups, with the possiblility of switching to Veritas, but I would like to run RMAN and nightly table exports in addition to either one of these apps. Does anyone know of any possible agent conflicts that would prevent us from doing this??

I am using RMAN to run hot backups on the DB to disk. I then use Veritas(no need for an agent)to move the backups from disk to tape.

Are you using Veritas Backup Exec?

Yes, I am using Veritas BackupExec version 10.

It's packaged in Oracle. No license required.
