I'm trying to deploy Windows 2000 Professional onto a Dell C640 notebook via RIS.

The boot portion appears to be fine, I can get to the RIS screens and choose the OS I want to install etc... The text portion of setup starts and begins loading drivers, but it always fails with the error message:

"The file el90Xbc5.sys is corrupted".

After pressing a key the system reboots. I have tried updating the NIC drivers in the RIS image with current drivers from Dell, but still no good. I have also tried loading an XP image but get the same error.

The RIS images work fine when deployed to D series notebooks and Optiplex desktops.I do have an error when trying to start the Single Instance Storage Groveler service. Event ID 7023:

The Single Instance Storage Groveler Service terminated with the following error:
The service has not been started.

Even though this service won't start, it is not affecting the deployment of images to other workstations and notebooks.. Just the C640

Thanks for your help!
