Ringtones on Incomming calls

Have just upgraded a IP406v2 system to the latest Version 4.1

Incoming calls from outside the business ring the analogue extention (s) with 2 rings , the normal setting.

If a user then puts the call on hold and transfers to another extension the internal user receiving the call gets the same 2 rings and thinks the call is an external call rather than an internally transferred call

Prior to 4.1 the system was running Version 3.1 (65) and my client assures me all transferred calls rang with the single internal call ringtone.

I have tried other ringtone options but all calls of the type mentioned ring as if they where coming directly from an external source.

I think it is rubbish it was requisted much so they changed it

All the customers that I upgraded have had complaints about this behaviour.
Our BP is also against this behaviour, but this was a design intended change by Avaya. If only someone could show me the benefits of this kind of strange operation.
 
Everytime my phone rings i get confused about it
I never know if it is internal or external
Maybe Avaya should make an extra ring specialy for an internal call with a transfer behind it
This can not be that hard to program
