go to "Admin" in programming....
then to "service modes"......"control sets" (this will be set used for manual operation)
......"ringing service"...."night"(make it manual)...."lines"...(choose required lines)... "ringing sets"..(choose Flash dn)......
Good luck...helps if you have a manual to follow this outline.
Sorry..Re-read your post......confused it with another.
You may not need Flash to answer ...just use whatever ringing set you need. Also to program a set button for manual night service ...program it as Feature 871.
Thanks for your input. I should've added that I'm using an old Startalk C in my system. For some reason, when I do the feature 871, I get a 'denied in admin' response. I know how to get into programming but where to I change this?
Sorry to bringup an old post ...Stuck in a related problem
This SW doesnt have ringing groups option
Specifying the required extn in the ringing sets doesnt seem to take effect
DRT is N, the call just lands in the AA after 3 rings in night service mode
AA - is not answsering the line, no prime for the line
Extra dial is not VMDN
Is there any workaround?
(Yet to try rebooting the system)
thanks in advance
is your system an R1/T1?
is your "ringing set" the vmail dn? (feature 985)
Control set is correct for lines?
Mode is manual?
Extra dial has no bearing on this.Is used as a secondary dial "0" when in service mode.
thanks byrontel
yes it is R1T1,
the ringing set - has 2 extensions where the call should ring (Not the VMDM)
control set is one of the 2 extensions where the calls should ring
Mode is manual
These 2 sets do not have CFNA/ CFB
The call does go to the ringing set, but goes to the VM after 3 rings
I presume you mean it goes to the set's mailbox?
If the ringing set is programmed as cfna to vmail...this will happen. You can try making the ring delay higher or having that set not cfna to vmail...or not have a mailbox on that set.Ringing sets and cfna to vmail....trouble.
If your calls are answered by auto attendant immediately during the day but not at night..there may be ways around it.
Sorry for the confusion ... as i said CFNA and CFB are NO
And it does not go to the mailbox - there is none for these extns.
The call goes to the AA "ThankQ for calling ..." after 3 rings
