Hello,
I have a series of text boxes that will hold integers. I cannot get the to line up to the right instead of the left. I set the DataFormat property to Number, but that didn't do it. And no matter how accurately i click on "True" under RightToLeft property, it goes back to "False".

Any clues?>

Thanks,
Tim

It sounds like you just need to set the 'Alignment' property of the textbox to Right Justify. The RightToLeft property is for Windows systems in Arabic, etc.

Thanks for the response...

That's what I initially though, but setting that control has no effect either (unless it's a multiline control for some reason). I've set it in design and run time, to no avail. I'm not sure what to try next.

SpongBod is right... to set the allignment of entries in the text box all you need to do is set the allignment to (right justified) multiline should have nothing to do with the justification of text

just to test stick a new text box on your form and change the alignment property only, if the text jumps to the right side, you have most probably set a property to cause the problem on your original text boxes (i think that makes sense)

good luck!!

I wish I was wrong about this, but it's just not working... I did the test, but no success.

I don't know if this make sense, but it justifies in labels... but not textboxes... what the heck is going on here?

Thanks for your patience :)

hmmm... somethings gone screwey then...

what happens if you:-

start a new project
add a text box
set alignment to 1

does it still not right align...

if not then i think somethings not quite right with VB

if it does then you must have set some property on your current project to cause this behaviour!!

what exactly is on the form and what is the purpose of the project (ie DB project, network project etc)

good luck!
