Is this doable? Can I have a single station/user or whatever have rights to only record "their" announcement. Say store hours for example, restricted to that stores manager? Eg not allowing that manager to make a mistake and edit someone else's store hours?

Haven't tried, but announcements have a COR right? I suppose you could try giving the person console permissions and the announcement it's own COR. Make your person a new COR and make it unable to call the CORs of other announcements.

I would really make triple sure that 1. accessing announcements by feature code and dialing them uses the same COR features and restrictions as dialing the announcements directly and 2. that this user can use other announcements dialing through vectors if they call other flows so that the VDN controls that and lets them hear those other announcements without explicitly dialing them from her set.

just thought about that after I posted but they could get in a lot of trouble if they use a cor that is in use

I agree with Joe. I don't think you can. My suggestion is a duct tape way to try.

The "right" answer is use call screening/findme-follow me in your voicemail box. That's where you have a place for you to record a message for you. Anything higher level than that doesn't really have kid gloves. With great power comes great responsibility, etc.

Set PROTECTED to yes, then make them call the helpdesk when they need one changed. After the change, set PROTECTED to yes again.

Probably. Still, something with a COS with console permissions would need to invoke the announcement feature. Your user would still have too much permission
