I have a computer that was loaded with spyware and viruses, well it's clean but I noticed that when I right click on an icon on my desktop it shows open and then underneath that it shows a lot of weblinks. There are links such as abetterinternet, spyorgy, etc. WHen I click on them I get an error that that the program is missing so I know that the spyware is gone but how can I get rid of the text on the right click box? Thanks in advance.

thanks for the link, I tried it but I could not find any of the web links on there. The right click only happens on shortcut icons. My computer shows the normal right click options, but spybot shows the normal options and the weblinks.

Also I noticed that when I right click on my computer or my documents the right click menu appears from the side of icon, but when I click on a shortcut icon the right click menu appears to come out from the the taskbar not the icon.

Do you get any hits when going into regedit and doing a "find" on one of the exact text strings that show up on your menu, (spyorgy, for example?)

Carr you hit the nail right on the head! I did a find on it and it came out several times and on one of them (didnt write it down, I should of for next time) I deleted all links and they were gone. Thanks again!!
