Right click > new window doesn't work

Hi,

This just started happening out of the blue. If I right click on a link and go to "open in new window"...the new window pops up and just hangs there without displaying anything...initially I thought it was just a bad link, but it is happening with all links. Any ideas? So far, I have cleaned cookies and files, ran ad-aware, virus scan and nothing has turned up...checked through some settings, but I haven't figured it out.

Well I found the answer, incase you want to know. This is an old problem, weird that it happened in IE 6

I re-registered the following dll's

actxprxy.dll
mshtml.dll
oleaut32.dll
shdocvw.dll

and it worked after a reboot. For those who don't know how to register dll's this is how you would do it

Start > Run > regsvr32 (dll)

Hi Linney,

Just to clarify for you what was happening...when you clicked "open in new window" and new window would appear however it was blank and it wasn't loading the requested page, it appeared to be "frozen" in a sense.
