Hi there,

I would like to have some reviews of our website please, could you maybe give some comments and a mark out of 10, with 10 being the highest. Also do you think it gives the right impression for a graphics company?

thanks

interesting background graphics I like where you have a type of torn lines look to it, the colors are pretty decent.

Given the total size of all objects is 111933 bytes. I was surprised at the load time (shown below)

Connection Time
Modem 14.4 Kbps 1 min. 0 sec.
Modem 28.8 Kbps 0 min. 30 sec.
Modem 33.6 Kbps 0 min. 26 sec.
Modem 56.6 Kbps 0 min. 15 sec.
64 Kbps ISDN 0 min. 13 sec.
128 Kbps ISDN 0 min. 6 sec.
256 Kbps ADSL 0 min. 3 sec.
512 Kbps ADSL 0 min. 1 sec.

My impressions as I went through the site was it has a dark feeling to it - like an evil lurks here. Which made me click more and move my mouse around more to find or maybe even solve the puzzle - but there wasn't anything to discover. IMHO it could use a little more interactivity, i.e. a shading on mouseover or various parts in the pictures that click to somewhere. The site has a aura of mystery behind it but the user has no mystery to find.

I would rate higher if there was something that made me want to stay longer. For now I'd have to give it a 6.

i have replaced the top graphics, with just one for the moment as i do not really want to give out a dark feeling to the website anymore, as it may turn potential customers away.

have another look

hmmm,

not really sure. The pictures good, it blends in nice. I do think you would benefit from a bit more interactivity though. - maybe have that top graphic a flash type, you could show off your animation and abilities that way. I'm guessing the various faces you see in the lower left are your work - it's impressive, show it off.

take a look here for a comparision match. refreshing changes the top image.

I agree with Stuart. What market are you aiming for? The site is very grunge (dark) with the barbed wire and general look.

By the way the Flash on the Phoenix Group site isn't displaying on a couple of the pages.

You have an edgy style, which is fine, but that is going to hurt you with many larger (better paying) clients if you showcase it too much on your site. I see from your portfolio you can create many styles well.

I would suggest some subdued, tasteful Flash, removing the barbed wire and modifying or removing the mask face if you want to be more appealing to corporate clients.

My preference is not to use flash unles necessary. It depends who your clients are. Some people still use very old browsers that don't handle flash. I guess the biggest thing I saw would be to have a rollover action on your links. Also, make your text a little bigger. A lot of people won't be able to read it. Also each page could use a little description ie.. work - what do these things mean? Are these examples? I assume that, but it isn't stated. Remember to build your site for people who know nothing about you. Nice graphics. Very creative.

5/10
