Hi.
On a Win2K pro box is it normal for the machine to query the dns servers for the reverse localhost (1.0.0.127.in-addre.arpa)?
From watching some packet captures I realized that my workstation is sending these requests out. Shouldn't those be resolved internally by the TCP/IP stack?
The most troubling thing is that it appears that my DNS servers seem to be giving out referrals to other DNS servers that are across the WAN & so these little localhost lookups are eating my WAN bandwidth.
Thanks.
