Active Directory 2003 Domain, 5 servers, 2 DNS servers.

I have a problem in that records are added dynamically correctly to DNS from both DHCP and Fixed IP computers when they startup. And there is no problem with forward and reverse on creating the records, but when a computer changes IP either manually or DHCP, the forward gets updated but the reverse DNS does not update, it creates a new record, so now there are 2 reverse records pointing to 2 different address.

Any ideas.

NO I haven't, but I don't have scavenging on for the forward domain and that updates correctly. It is only the reverse that is having the problem.

if you look at the record it also has a box were you can tick if the record becomes stale is this ticked ???

hope it helps
