Returning a user ID

Can anyone help i am looking for a way to return the user ID as a security measure.

The CurrentUser function will return the user name of the user.

This only does something for you if you've set up security, though.

GDGarth is right - the CurrentUser is only of use if you have secured the database.

But if you haven't secured it (and don't intend to) then you could get the NT login name using built-in Environ function.

e.g. Environ("UserName")
