Retrieving messages from general delivery box 1

Our company recently had a new norstar voicemail system installed and when callers transfer to the operator and the call is not answered a message comes on stating ("press 1 to leave a message in the companies general delivery box&quot how do I retrieve those messages? Also why doesn't the operators message come on? Thanks.

The general delivery box is a special mailbox that will not/cannot go away. it is mailbox 11, 101, 1001, etc.
Dial Feature 9 8 1 then press the OTHR button. At LOG enter the mailbox/password combination. 110000 if you have a two digit system and this mailbox has not been initialized yet. after that it plays out like a normal mailbox.

Jerry, I did the steps you mentioned above but that still does not allow me to retreive the messages that are left when someone dials "0" for the operator and she does not answer they have the option of leaving a message in the general delivery mailbox by pressing "1". I left a message there as a test and when I went into mailbox 11 it siad I had no messages. Is there somwehre else those messages are going? Also, when I enter the password in the newly created mailbox 11 the name says(touble,mb).

The only mailboxes that are pre-assigned are the general delivery 10 and the system co-ordinator 12. All others are assigned by you.
