retrieve mail messages

I'm using Outlook 2002 and can't find the option to delete unsent message. Is it possible to retrieve and delete messages that haven't been sent? If I need to upgrade to a later version, that's ok, but need to know if this is an option

'Unsent' would imply that it's still in your drafts folder. You can delete anything in your drafts folder.

'retrieve and delete messages that haven't been sent' - why would you need to retrieve if it hasn't been sent. To recall messages that have been sent, but not yet collected by the recipient reqires both parties to be using Exchange as IFRs mentioned.
