Hi

I have a problem when recovering a backup tape, I am recovering to a different location and all works fine, but the timestamp of the recovered files are today's timestamp and not the original timestamp. How do I recover with the original timestamp.

I am using HP-UX and Networked 6.0.1.Build.175 Turbo/25
I am using the Save Set Recover option

I think that´s OS related. The file is created upon restoring it, hence the Creation date timestamp will be current time. However, the Modified date timestamp should be intact, have you checked this?

Regards
Maverick

Thanks NWNinja

Both the restore data and backup server are HP-UX.

The output is
# ls -la
total 13234
drwx------ 2 65534 65534 96 Dec 4 12:57 .
drwx------ 5 65534 65534 96 Dec 4 12:57 ..
-rwxrwxrwx 1 1278 200 37238912 Dec 4 12:57 Billy.QIC
-rwxrwxrwx 1 65534 65534 1572864 Dec 4 12:57 billys.QIC

I know that the directories date will be todays date, but the files should have the original timestamp which should be NOV 12 2003. Not too sure how to find Modified date timestamp on UNIX
