Restrincting Saving Options in Word

Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows of a way we can restrict a user from saving in any other version of Microsoft Word then the Word 97-2000 version. We do not want to allow the user to pick any other option from the 'save word files as' in word. Is there anyway of locking this combo box ? Or perhaps a registry hack ?

Personally, you are asking for file bloating....

Why not just change the setting in Word to "not use features that aren't available in version XXX" under the Tools-Options, Save tab?

You should then be able to open in all versions, and not have file bloating... Anne Troy
