I Have a digital extension currently set to SRE (No dialing allow). We need to create a dummy extension on Key 5 of same extension and that extension may be able to dial IDD calls. I mean Key 0 should be restricted to dial out and key 5 should be able to dial any number.
I tried a dummy TN and assigned it a proper NCOS for dialout and used it DN on the extension but it also dont work.
Can somebody help please..

Thanks

Dialing restrictions affect the TN, not the DN.
You might be able to do this by connecting an analog TN to a trunk TN and programming it as a PVR on the set.
But what are you really trying to accomplish? There may be another solution.

Actually it is a help disk no having following keys

Key 0 MCR 1xxx
Key 1 MCR 1xxx

Key 4 MCR 2xxx
Key 5 MCR 2xxx

Two different users use this extension. Key 0/1 users is for Help Desk Support and Key4/5 Users is for LAN support. For some reason we cannot use two different Telset for these two user.
Management dont wants to allow Key0/1 user to dialout any number outside PBX through TELCO, But they also wants Key4/5 User to dial out any number.
I tried a dummy TN and assigned it a proper NCOS for dialout and used it DN on the extension but it also dont work.

So LAN Support staff are allowed to call out but Help Desk Support staff are not?
Maybe you need to restrict the phones and give the LAN Support people authorization codes to call out.

Thanks PA for help..Is there any other workaround to implement above setup?

Regards

I can not think of any other way except for using account codes. you may have to in this case
