Hello,

I would like to restrict certain area codes when a route is accessed.

The route i am using has an ACOD of 78.

Example of what i want ot accomplish.Once the route is used the user,
Can dial 1-312-XXX-XXXX
Can not dial 1-868-XXX-XXXX

Are the users dialing 78 to access this route or is the route being accessed through BARS?

You will have to implement FCR in LD 49 if not using BARS

ok, so i prt the fcr in ld 49

the results are as follows

req prt
type fcr
cust 0
crno
crno 0
init alow
crno 1
crno 2
crno 3
crno 4
crno 5
crno 6
crno 7
crno 8
crno 9

Here is an example of an old switch where I was using this

>ld 49
DGT000
MEM AVAIL: (U/P): 2773506 USED U P: 198083 75834 TOT: 3047423
DISK RECS AVAIL: 1152
REQ prt
TYPE fcr
CUST 0
CRNO 1

CRNO 1
INIT DENY
ALOW 1855
1866
1877
188

10103330
284
288
575
617
632
649
724
911
0

So initially I'm denying everything then the ALOW list is what I'm allowing. You just need to decide if you will have more allow digits or deny digits. Also can you post a print out of this route?

This is a prt of the route

So if you build a FCR tree like this

>ld 49
DGT000
MEM AVAIL: (U/P): 2773506 USED U P: 198083 75834 TOT: 3047423
DISK RECS AVAIL: 1152

CRNO 1
INIT DENY
ALOW 1312

This will deny everything except 1312, you get the idea, right?

Then in the route you will need to change at the FRL prompts

0 1
1 1
2 1
3 1
4 1
5 1
6 1
7 1

This will make all NCOS on the phones 0 thru 7 look at FCR tree 1 for this route

Make sense?

Go to this link and download the file. This is the feature guide that shows you how to implement New Flexible Code Restriction. Starting on page 137 and implementation starts on page 141. Let me know after you have downloaded the file so I can remove the link.

Thanks

i think i understand, the goal is to have route 11 (international route)call outside the united states to certain countries. Example to not be able to call Trinidad and Tobago (868). But call Antigua and Barbuda
(268)
so i want to have my route 11 (vonage) access from only a few extensions.
I assign a TARG of 4 to the route, set the TGRA of the extensions i want to have axcess to the route to => 4. Then I create CRNO 5, to restrict everything except 29 country codes.

Then i make sure the extension i want to dial those countries listed have an NCOS => 5 ?

Listed below are the countries i would like to dial using route 11.

Andorra
Antigua and Barbuda
Bhutan
Comoros
Cuba
Dominica
Grenada
Guinea-Bissau
Iran
Kiribati Libya
Liechtenstein
North Korea
Maldives
Monaco
Nauru
Palau
Republic of the Congo
Saint Kitts and Nevis
Saint Lucia Saint Vincent and the
Grenadines
San Marino
Sao Tome and Principe
Seychelles
Solomon Islands
Somalia
Tonga
Tuvalu
Vanuatu

Actually if TARG and TGAR is a match is when you are restricted from dialing the ACOD.

Didnt know that, thought is if its equal to or higher. in LD 49 whne i create the NEW, CRNO 5 and set the FRL in route 11 to 5 for all digits. Will it affect any other route ?

You are thinking NCOS, if NCOS is equal or higher typically you are allowed to do that. It will only affect the route where you set the FRL, by default there is no restriction in the route. Except for TARG being a 1 by default.

so far it works i have assigned a TARG of 02 to the route, set the extensions i dont want to use the route TGAR to 02. Set the TGAR to the extension i want to dial out using the route and all other routes to a TGAR of 03.
dialed and it seems to work.

what will be the easiest wat to restict calls to the united stated and allow calls to the rest of the world ?

I would make an ALOW restriction then deny the US country code

i tried using it on my route 209 that is a T1. That uses 9 to get a line but it dosent work.

when i do a trace it should that the call takes another route (my vonage route) to place the call. How do i direct the call to a route 226 once it is call to the united state.
