Restricted Groups Group Policy 1

I am attempting to use the restricted groups in group policy for the first time. I have found several small refrences on the web and in a couple of books to this process. Basically i would like to set XXAdministrator on the domain to be the administrator of the local machine. Everything i have tried seems to fail. If anyone has any quick notes or ideas on the process i would be very appreciative.

The domain admin should be made a member of the local admins group when it is joined to the domain, is this not the case in your setup?

I use this feature on my network so if you are still stuck post back and i'll walk you through it.

The domain admin is. I would like to be able to specify additional accounts. Problem is that if im deploying to 100 computers, may take only 5 minutes but 5 minutes manually at 100 workstations is pretty significant.

Yep that’s true, this policy will allow you to do just that I use it to add certain groups to the power users group on about 80 stations and it works flawlessly.
