I would like to create a COR that will allow the agents to dial externally (local and long distance), but restrict them from dialing each other (login id's and phone extensions). Is there a way?
Just go into the new COR form and on the 4th page you can set n on the field which relates to the COR itself, then they shouldnt be able to call another extension with that COR. For example if the COR you are creating is number 10, set n next to the 10 on your form. John
That works, but every phone is going to get the same COR. If I restrict the COR that's on the agent id it will not be able to log into the phone. What I'm trying to accomplish is I don't want the phone extension to be able to dial another agent or login id, and I don't want the login id to be able to dial a phone extension or login id. Can this be done?
You can use a different COR for station and login ID.
Example:
Station has COR 1
Agent has COR 10
COR 10 = Agents can't dial to each other or to any other station.
COR 1 = Agent can login but can't dial to stations that are not sales (for example)
When the agent starts in the morning, the station he is using will have COR 1, he will be able to login.
When he does that, all calls are treated with the AGENT ID COR (10), so he will receive calls but can't dial to an Agent ID.
Issues here are:
- They will be able to dial to a sales station (that can't be stopped, otherwise they can't login)
- If a station is free (no agent is logged-in to it) they can use that station to call to Agent ID's.
But that should show up on the reports.
I think that you have to combine both, system restrictions and reports.
