I am trying to restrict access to a shared folder called Global, One group needs full access and everyone else only needs read access. When I created a group called “Global Folder Access” and gave it full control then I gave the everyone group read only access permission, however the Global Folder Access group could not save files to this folder. Can someone help me setup this folder so that the Global Folder Access group has full control and everyone else in the network has read only access?

Thanks, Scruby

Your system must be NTFS Remember that users will get the most restrictive
so the users in the global group are also in the group everyone

create a nother group with out the people in the global group

remove the group everyone

assign the 2 groups to the folder
