I've got 2000 v7 running on windows 2003, right..

I'm trying to restore my monthly tapes from like three months ago.. They need to be merged, so i do that.. then, i go into restore and it takes like 10 minutes to change places!! I click on one thing, wait ten minutes, click on another, wait ten minutes.. This is ridiculous! The only way i've found to get around it is restarting the database service, but then that like clears my merged session.

Anyone know what the deal is here? I've got a few email spread out over the past 6 months that i need off those tapes. I can't even get into the sessions that were merged cause it keeps freezing up!! What the heck?

There ya go, there's the problem, ARCserve 2000 isn't supported on Windows 2003.

You need v9 at Build 2020 or above or v11.x for Win2003 support.

Also, check the activity log and make sure your server wasn't doing anything else. When it's doing session cleaning my will CRAWL just like you are saying. When it gets done with all it's cleanup, everything flys again.
