when I tried to restore my tape to a new RAID drives with the OS installed; ARCSERVE does not see the new RAID drives.
please Help!!

Is this when you are attempting to recover the server using DR, or when you have built the base OS and reinstalled ARCserve?

Is this hardware, or software RAID you are talking about?

thanks for the respond..
im trying to restore my tapes on a dell server with RAID drives. I have installed OS and arcserve in these new drives.

im running out of space on my server this is why im doing this.I tried Norton ghost but it doesn't do RAID...
do you have any suggestions on how to do this??

thanks!

Ok have you service packed the OS and confirmed/saved the settings in Windows Disk manager, and ensured the disks are formatted before you try and restore (ie not RAW)? Does disk manager see and identify the volumes in Windows correctly?

What OS/Service Pack are you restoring to, and what version and patch level of ARCserve are you using?

If it is a hardware RAID solution and not using DR, then really there is nothing different as far as ARCserve is concerned in terms of restore.

It might also help if you could include some links to some screenshots of what you're seeing when restoring.
