Restoring 5.5 exchange tape to a 2000 Exchange

Checking to see if it is possible to restore a backup tape that was created on a 5.5 exchange box to a 2000 Exchange box. We are looking for a paritular email message that was sent during our 5.5 erra...and now all we have is the monthly tape backup...

any help would be appreciated...

no is the short answer, because the database structure is different. You can even restore and E2K SP1 database to an E2K SP2 server
