Restored media server, can't access mediadb/media list report

Hi, a couple of weeks ago we had to rebuild a media server. I did a fresh install of NB and restored the netbackup\db\media (including the mediadb), netbackup\db\var, volmgr\database folders from the most recent backup. It appears to be working, backups on that media server work fine and restores of recent and old (ie. pre-rebuild) backups work fine.

However I've recently noticed that when I run a media list report, it doesn't show any of the media that was allocated to the media server pre-rebuild. It does show media allocated after the rebuild. It's as though Netbackup isn't seeing the pre-rebuild media records in the restored mediadb on the media server.

What are the implications of this, and how do I fix it? Is this a timebomb waiting to go off? All of the pre-rebuild backup images still show up in the images on media database (which i guess is because the image database is on the master server not the media server), and all the tapes still appear assigned in the media and device manager (because the volume database is also on the master server, not the media server), and I'm guessing the tapes won't expire or become available until the images expire out of the images database...so I'm confident that we won't lose any backups....please can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

Mike

Slight update...I no longer think my issue (media ID's for restored media server no longer showing up in media list report) is anything to do with the restored mediadb file on the media server. I've just discovered that the mediaDB's on our media servers including my rebuilt one don't appear to be used, the NTFS last modified date on the mediadb files hasn't been changed for years. I guess all the media db info is being controlled and stored on our master server. Where does the media list get it's media ID information from? What database, and where is it stored?
