restore using GRT to exchange 2003

HI ,

I want to restore a folder from a user's inbox.

I have a successful backup that used GRT.

When I run the restore, I understand it will 'stage' the info store onto a local drive that I specify.

my question is : will it at any point stop any of my exchange services, or will it put the data back in whilst it is live?
