Hi Guys,
info: I've just lost the system disk [NT4] of an Exchange [5.5] server [SVR2] and have had to rebuild the server again. The Exchange files were located on a separate drive and are still intact. I also have a full Exchange backup with BackupExec 9.x
While the server is down, incoming messages are queuing up on another Exchange [SVR1] server at the MTA. I have not yet installed Exchange back on to the rebuilt server, but in ExchAdmin I can still see the old server and I know that when I do try to reinstall Exch on SVR2 it will say that it already exists and I must first remove it, thus loosing all the mailboxes on that server.
Question: Do I reinstall it to the same location and copy back in the EDB files or do I restore using BackupExec and recreate the mailboxes..?
