Hi,
I do not want to do that I probably have to do 'system state' restore. I've not done this by now. Can someone tell me steps how it maust be done? I have current backup for this server windows 2000 sp3. If I need to do that in save mode I do not know if I have access to Arcserve manager.
Thanks.

HI,

This being a standalone server, i assume this does not have
ADS on it....

1. reinstall OS \ patch up to original setup
2. install ARCserve NT client agent \ apply Service packs
3. onthe arcserve manager create a restore job which
restores the entire backup (C;. D:. systemstate,reg)

4. reboot.

If this server has ADS configured on it...

1. install OS\patchup
2. install NT Agent
3. reboot server into Directory Services restore mode.
4. Restore the System state.
5. reboot the server into Normal Mode
6. restore the drives...

hope this helps
cheers

Hi,
Yes, but I want to restore only AD without registry which is included in System State. When I restore System State all parts of it will be restored. What is the best way to restore only AD after new OS is installed on a new Domain Controler. I do not have other domain controler in this Domain. Any help???
Thanks.

Hi,

With ARcserve the system state restore cannot be split into components...

all the 5 compnonets will be restored...

cheers
