The database seems to restore fine, but in Enterprise manager it shows the db(test) but shows "Test(Loading)". I look in the folder and it is there, with the date and time when it was restored and it is approximately the correct size.

Any ideas

Eithere your restore is not completed sucessfully or its corrupted. Best suggestion is to delete the db, create a new db and tyr to restore.

Good Luck.

I backed the db up before I tried to restore it. I was able to restore it fully from there and it works fine.

I'm still stuck with the same issue though, I still need to back up from the 6-4 file.

It is when I try to go from the scheduled weekly backup, I found some discussions on the MS technet which talks about the log file.

Do you know if the log files are backed up in the same file during the scheduled back process.

Does this help any.

I have tried to restore to a different db name that didn't work either.
The db is there but the log file seems to be missing when I recover from the scheduled.

When you do your final restore are you using WITH NORECOVERY? That's what it looks like is happening. Try running JUST this:

RESTORE DATABASE test
WITH RECOVERY
