Hello

When I wan't to restore a mailbox, I get this error:
"ARCServe for Windows 2000 -- Restore

E3150 Unable to connect to network drive. (DRIVE=SR2-002\ADMIN$, EC=LOGON FAILURE)
"

I installed the ARCserve2000 with SP4 on SR1(Win2000 SP3).
The arcserve-user has enough permission on both server.

Any ideas??

Thanks for your help!

HI,

There will be two security popups... first one is the NT Security....

second security is for the brick level...

hello

I tried again, but it didn't work. I just get one popup, for the brick level security.
When I loggon with the arcserve user, I still get the same error:"E3150 Unable to connect to network drive. (DRIVE=SR2-002\ADMIN$, EC=LOGON FAILURE)"

I also tried to loggon as Administrator, but then I get this error:" Cannot submit the RUN NOW job due to unavailable group or backup device."

Other files I can restore from the tape, but non from the exchange server.

Thank you for your help!!

I had a problem similar to that, I checked thread478-569866 on Brick-level Restore failing. I already had service pack 4 so, I only had make sure I was using the correct account and password for brick level and db level.

One more thing: when submitting the job on the final window, it will ask you for the username and password, I entered it with the format domain\username. ALSO when you clicked there is an Edit button, I clicked there and it asked again for the user and password and also the ip address of the destination machine, I entered there the exchange's ip address.

I hope it helps.

I cant believe I had to be back to this thread after a year! Yes, I had the same problem again, and this time even though I checked several times the credentials I was using, it wouldnt restore.

After struggling for a day with it, I tried re-configuring Exchange 's Client Agent for ARcserve, and It wouldnt make connection with the Arcserve account, seems like when I had hidden the arcserve account from the directory (so users wouldnt send any messages to such account), the restore got blocked. So I took off the hide check from it, waited 5 minutes for Exchange to replicate changes, and it worked like a charm!

Its me again. I hid the arcserve account, did a backup, and a restore and they work well. Seems like the problem was it needed a re-configuration of the arcserve account on exchange agent only, and hiding the arcserve account in exchange directory was blocking chance to configure it, but it wasnt actually causing the problem.
